Net Cafe Refugee 2.0
[Scenography/Lx Design ]
The play is set in a Japanese net café, a space made up of many small private booths. My challenge was to decide how much of this environment should be represented, and how to show the tension between private refuge and public exposure.
I focused on the corridor as the central spatial idea. Rather than recreating the whole net café realistically, I treated the corridor as a symbolic passage where isolation, movement and social pressure could become visible.
